Elijah
Meet Elijah Kimani!
Elijah’s mother was an alcoholic and very abusive towards her children. She would leave for long periods at a time, leaving her children alone, without food and proper care. A neighbor rescued Elijah and his brother and reported their case to the children’s office. Their mother was taken to court and charged with negligence. A few days after their mother was released from jail, she died suddenly. Elijah and his brother David Kiarie were brought to the Centre in 2012. Elijah loves to play football (soccer) with his friends. His favorite subject in school is Social Studies and he hopes to become a pilot when he grows up.
